Dawson - excited about next two seasons.
Former Yorkshire and England off-spinner Richard Dawson has signed a two-year contract with Gloucestershire.
Dawson, who was released by Northamptonshire last year, joined the county earlier this month.
The 28-year-old made his Gloucestershire debut in the LV County Championship Division Two match against Glamorgan two weeks ago and shone in the recent NatWest Pro40 win over Middlesex.
Dawson said: "I am really excited about the following two seasons at Gloucestershire and I am looking forward to working with such a strong squad."
Gloucestershire team mentor Jack Russell said: "The players and support staff are absolutely delighted that Richard has joined us full time.
"Not only is he a high quality cricketer, but is a quality person who fits the required attitude to help take this team forward."
