Washout In Belfast

Washout In Belfast

Porterfield - made just three.

The second ODI of the three-match series between Ireland and Kenya was washed out in Belfast on Monday.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, the tourists had the hosts in early trouble after Peter Ongondo and Thomas Odoyo grabbed the wickets of captain William Porterfield (three) and wicketkeeper-batsman Gary Wilson (nought) respectively.

17-year-old Paul Stirling (four not out) and star all-rounder Andre Botha (11 not out) steadied ship momentarily, before the heavens opened over the Civil Service Cricket Club in Stormont and never relented.

The Irish lead the series 1-0 after their 33-run triumph on Sunday, with the final clash to be played on Wednesday.
