England Women Clinch Series Victory

Taylor - saw England home.

Claire Taylor hit an unbeaten 29 to help England women to an eight-wicket victory over India under the Duckworth-Lewis method to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

India had reached 126 for two off 35.2 overs at Taunton thanks to 55 not out from Mithali Raj and 42 from Jaya Sharma, while Katherine Brunt and Nicki Shaw finished with a wicket apiece.

England were set a reduced target of 99 for victory and were given a positive start by wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor (24) and skipper Charlotte Edwards (25).

But Claire Taylor's knock of 31 balls proved decisive along with Lydia Greenway (18no) to see England home with 28 balls to spare.
