KP: We Can Make It 5-0

Samit Patel stole the show on Friday.

Captain Kevin Pietersen has challenged England to win the remaining two matches after clinching victory in the series against South Africa with a 126-run win at The Oval on Friday.

"We've come in (to the series) as underdogs for sure but we've hit our straps in every department," he said.

"The boys have been magnificent, it's an exciting place to be, the England dressing room.

"I'm a very privileged person. The blokes in the dressing room have done an amazing job. But we want to improve and we want to try to win it 5-0 if we can.

"I want the guys to enjoy this victory and turn up on Sunday ready to go 4-0 up. We need to carry on and keep going."

Kallis, who has taken over from the injured Smith, admitted his side were very much second best.

He said: "We're not playing good cricket but England are playing unreal cricket, they're one of the better one-day sides and they're outplaying us in all departments.

"We've lost a few key players, but the guys who are there now are not performing to the level they need to. We lost the game in the first 10-15 overs today and put ourselves under pressure.

"Were not firing on all cylinders and it's hard times for us at the moment."

It has been a sobering three matches for the Proteas, and Kallis has urged them to learn from England, who have bounced back after losing the Test series earlier this summer.

"We came here trying to win the Test series but we wanted to win both so we're not proud of what has happened," he continued. "Hopefully we can correct that. We don't want people to forget what we've achieved.

"It's going to be hard, we've got to turn it around. England turned it around, now it's our turn to do it."

Patel was named man of the match for his five-wicket haul.

"I don't know what to say but I'm really happy," he added. "All the guys have put in the work and it's showing. They've all been great.

"I couldn't have asked any more. They've welcomed me and the cricket's been taking care of itself really. But there's a lot of good one-day bowlers out there, I've just got to keep working hard."

The teams meet again on Sunday.
