Collins Out Of Windies Squad

Collins - won't play for Windies.

Pedro Collins will not play for the West Indies in the first Test against Sri Lanka next week due to contractual obligations with Surrey.

The left-arm fast bowler was set for a return to the West Indies team for the first time since 2006, but he opted to withdraw from the squad.

"Unfortunately, due to prior contractual commitments I have no alternative but to decline your kind invitation at this time," Collins said in a letter sent to the West Indies Cricket Board.

"I would like to take the opportunity to wish my colleagues best of luck for the upcoming series as I have every confidence they would make us all proud. Thank you in advance for your understanding."
